Microfluidic devices for pathogen detection

Abstract The rapid, sensitive, and specific diagnosis of pathogens is very important and it is very important to identify the source of infection, to improve and care for the patient with appropriate treatment and control of the spread of the diseases. Many efforts have been made to progress novel strategies based on microfluidic principles, for high-throughput and rapid analysis of pathogen detection to gain accurate evidence from samples containing different pathogens. In this chapter, we have reviewed in-depth those efforts and recent advances in this field.
