Modeling of Distribution of Temperature at the Directed Giving of the Heat Carrier for Ensuring Faultless Drying of Products of a Special Purpose

2019
The article is devoted to the modeling of drying process of the shaped ceramic products in batch-type chamber dryers. The main types of such products are considered, as well as the reasons for the appearance of rejects, which can reach 7% at the molding stage, 40% of the total lot at drying, and after kilning, all products that had a low quality of drying will have defects. Since the shaped products are sensitive to the temperature regime of drying, it is necessary to simulate the movement of heat-transfer agent flows to determine the rational design parameters of the dryer. To this end, several existing designs of chamber dryers with different ways of supplying and organizing the movement of the heat-transfer agent in the chamber space were designed, resulting in their 3D models. To eliminate the design drawbacks of existing dryers associated with uneven heat flow, there are proposed ways to improve them, associated with the organization of a directed supply of heat-transfer agent throughout the entire height of the chamber to obtain a uniform temperature field.
