Les habitudes du traitement présomptif des formes non graves de paludisme à Porto-Novo, Bénin: Presumptive treatment habits for uncomplicated malaria in Proto-Novo, Benin

Summary A prospective and descriptive study was made to assess the presumptive treatment habits for uncomplicated malaria in Porto-Novo, Benin. Self-treatment was frequent (47.13%). The treatment was prescribed by physicians in only 24.2% of the cases. Self or prescribed treatment was frequently subtherapeutic (57%): low dosage and/or low duration (
