Study on the expression of E-cadherin and β-caten in protein in human cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer

Objective:To investigate the expression of E-cadherin and β-catenin in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and cervical cancer.Methods:Immunohistochemical S-P method was used in 30 cervical cancer,26 CIN and 10 normal cervical tissue specimens aged40 years for the expression of E-cadherin and β-catenin.Results:Abnormal immunoreactivity for E-cadherin(42%)and β-catenin(39%)in CIN were observed respectively.which were significant differences from normal group(P0.05).Abnormal immunoreactivity for E-cadherin and β-catenin were 73% and 70% respectively.Abnormal immunoreactivity for E-cadherin in cervical cancer was significant difference compared with CIN and normal group(P0.05,P0.01).Abnormal expression of β-catenin in cervical cancers was higher than that in normal group(P0.01).Conclusion:Decreased expression of E-cadherin and β-catenin in cervical may influence CIN persistent to cervical tissue cancer.
