Implementation of Bms, Soc and Detection of Obstacles Using Arduino Nano For Electrical Vehicles

2020
Batteries are most common electrical energy storage devices in EVs. Batteries have attracted considerable attention in the EV industry, a smart battery monitoring system (BMS) is one of the essential components. It not only measures the states of battery accurately, but also ensures safe operation and prolongs the battery life. The accurate estimation of the state of charge (SOC) of a battery is a very challenging task because the battery is a highly time variant, non-linear, and complex electrochemical system. Conventional low-cost battery chargers employ a few protective features intended for that battery, thus lacking flexibility and full- pledged protection. Here we are using cloud computing, it means storing and accessing data and programs over the internet instead of our computer hard drive. The vehicle outputs will be given in graphical representation through thing speak software. Distance measurement of an object can be done using a variety of sensors- Ultrasonic, IR etc. Measurement using ultrasonic sensors is the cheapest and its reliability among several others is very high. In this project we discuss the uses of these sensors for distance measurement in vehicular applications.
