Evaluation of current HIV antibody test strategy in different populations.

OBJECTIVE To understand the application of China's current HIV testing strategy in different populations.METHODS The cross-sectional survey of HIV antibody screening data was conducted in the clinical group,recruits and high-risk populations from 14 network laboratory in 2007.RESULTS The HIV positive frequency and indeterminate rate in different populations was different.The recruits's incidence of HIV indeterminate was less than the clinical group(0.038% vs 0.009%,P value 0.05),The confirmation of the efficiency of drug users was significantly higher than the clinical treatment group and recruits.CONCLUSIONS The effect of current strategy for HIV antibody detection in different populations is different.
