Chapter 2 - Micro- and nanostructured piezoelectric polymers: Fundamentals and application
2019
Abstract This chapter introduces micro- and nanostructured piezoelectric polymeric materials, their main physicochemical properties, processing conditions, and applications. In particular, their mechanical to electrical transduction characteristics, flexibility, and easy processability provide those materials with suitable characteristics to be used in sensor and actuator applications. Some representative applications of the materials are presented to highlight the potential of micro- and nanostructured piezoelectric materials.
