Lymphatic Microcirculation of the Skin in Venous Disease

Extensive investigations have been performed in the past to evaluate the microangiopathy of blood capillaries in chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), but recent studies are looking also at the involvement of the lymphatic system in CVI. Especially the microlymphatics of the skin are involved in chronic venous disease.
