Study on Degradation of Tetracycline Wastewater by UV/Fenton Process

2011
The influences of initial concentrations of the FeSO4,H2O2 and solution pH values on the degradation of tetracy-cline wastewater by UV/Fenton process were analyzed.Experimental results indicate that when the initial concentration of tetracycline was 25 mg/L,the optimum operational conditions of the processes were as follows: the initial concentration 0.05 mmol/L FeSO4,10 mmol/L H2O2,pH2.5.After 60 minutes′ reaction, the tetracycline removal rate was 93.14%.In addition, comparative tests on varous lighting conditions(natural daylight, sunlight and UV-light) were conducted. The results show that the tetracycline removal rate was highest under UV irradiation,a little lower under sunlight, lowest under natural daylight.
