UM SIMULADOR VISUAL DE LEITOR DE TELAS PARA AUXÍLIO À INTERPRETAÇÃO DE QUESTÕES DE ACESSIBILIDADE POR AVALIADORES VIDENTES

2018
Several mechanisms support diagnostic evaluation of Web accessibility issues.  Automatized tools evaluate accessibility based on conformance verification of codes in regard to recognized accessibility guidelines. However, even after accessibility evaluation with such tools, it is necessary to count on human evaluators to analyse the issues indicated by the tool. Therefore, the process of evaluating accessibility with automatized tools is still biased by the expertise effect. This study described and qualitatively evaluated a simulation tool that aims to support the perception and interpretation of automatized tools’ reports. The findings show that the tool influenced the evaluator’s interpretation and perception about accessibility issues faced by visually impaired users. This indicated an approach that support the perception and interpretation of automatized tool outcomes.
