High Resolution B-Mode Evaluation of Macular Holes

High resolution ultrasound B-mode was performed in 62 patientswho had manifest or impending macular holes. Changes in retinal contouror condensed posterior hyaloid were the main findings. Assessing the minutechanges, ultrasound appeared superior to biomicroscopy, even when in thehands of experienced retinal surgeons.
