Untersuchungen zur Struktur von Niobmonoxid NbO

Um Ursachen fur die kristallchemische Sonderstellung von Niobmonoxid NbO zu finden, wurde dessen Fahigkeit zur Mischkristallbildung mit einigen anderen verwandten Monoxiden gepruft. Bisher liesen sich solche Mischkristalle nur mit Vanadiumoxid VO nachweisen. It has been tested if niobium monoxide, NbO, is able to form mixed crystals with some other related monoxides, in order to find an explanation for the exceptional position of that compound concerning its crystalline properties. In the field of this investigation, niobium monoxide forms mixed crystals only with vanadium monoxide.
