Intersomatic vertebra setting and fusion system including one or more open inner housings for receiving the spongy bone and to be inserted between two vertebrae during a dissectomy, characterised in that said housing (1) has an outer plate element (12), on its rear surface (5), extending on either side of the housing (1) in a plane substantially perpendicular to the insertion plane of the housing (1), and provided at each of the ends thereof with means (13, 14) for anchoring the plate to at least two adjacent vertebrae to be secured to each other by means of the cage (1). The system can be separated into two parts: the housing and the plate.
