Clinical observation of treatment of postoperative anastomotic leakage of esophageal carcinoma by fibrin glue combined with gelfoam

Objective To study a new stuff-block therapy method to promote closure of postoperative anastomotic leakage of esophageal carcinoma.Methods 32 patients with anastomotic leakage were randomly divided into two groups-ordinary therapy group and fibrin glue combined with gelfoam therapy group.Results The healed time of anastomotic leakage in fibrin glue and gelfoam therapy group were shorter than that in ordinary therapy group and the difference was significant.Conclusion Stuff-blocking of anastomotic leakage with fibrin glue and gelfoam assited by endoscope has satsifactory result.It is economical and effective.
