Compound material for electromagnetic shielding in electrical and cryoelectronical applications

1994
A compound material based on aluminum and amorphous, soft magnetic alloys has been developed by means of glueing techniques which are commonly used in aerospace applications to produce metallic or fibrous laminates. It is well suited for the construction of high-quality shielding containers against electromagnetic fields from dc to some 100 kHz. Its magnetic properties can be modified over a wide range by varying the number and the thickness of the laminate. The magnetic properties are not affected by mechanical working processes, such as turning, cutting or drilling. >
