Microinvasive and Drainage Treatment for Intraventricular Hemorrhage

2005
Objective: To investigate the therapeutical effect of drainage and microinvasive method for the treatment of intraventricular hemorrhage. Methods: 46 Cases of this condition were treated by single brain ventricle drainage or bilateral brain ventricle drainage, sometimes hematoma drainage and lumbar cistern drainage combined with urokinase infusion was performed according to patients' conditions. Results: 28 cases survived, 18 cases died; the survival were evaluated for their life ability with ADL scale after 6 months:Ⅰscale 4 cases,Ⅱ scale 14 cases,Ⅲ scale 8 cases, Ⅳscale 2 cases. Conclusion: Lateral brain ventricle, hematoma and lumbar cistern drainage combined with urokinase infusion might be an microinvasive, safe and active and effective management for brain ventricle hemorrhage.
