A STUDY ON LINKAGE BETWEEN LEAN MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND STOCK REDUCTION IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRIES

The present study evaluates the effects of nine components of Lean Management practice on stock reduction by incorporating perception of project managers, quality control managers and supervisors. The researchers collected 148 questionnaires from the project managers, quality control managers. The researchers examined the influence of Lean management practice from small scale industry's point of view, large scale industry's point of view and pooled data. The results of the study indicate that there is significant difference exist between material qualities. This study has been conducted for the period of April 2015 to February 2016. The researchers employed questionnaire method for collecting data from the respondent.  The outcome of this study would help the policy makers in enclosing suitable policies relating to lean implementation in construction industries.
