2013
AIM To observe the effect of montelukast sodium combined with azithromycin in the treatment of mesenteric lymphadenitis caused by mycoplasma pneumonia infection.METHODS A total of 176 patients with mesenteric lymphadenitis caused by mycoplasma pneumonia(MP) infection were randomly divided into treatment group(98 patients) and control group(78 patients). Both groups were given azithromycin 10 mg·kg -1 ·d -1 ,iv gtt for 5 days, and after an interval of 3 days, given intravenous infusion for 5 days again. The treatment group was given additionally oral montelukast sodium(4 mg.age < 7 years;5 mg,age≥7 years) once daily before sleep for 14 days.RESULTS The time of abdominal pain disappearance, mesenteric lymph node(MLN) reducing, leukocyte normalizing and the titer of MPIgM begining to drop in the treatment group was shorter than those in the control group, and there was significant difference(P <0.05).The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group.CONCLUSION It is significantly effective that montelukast sodium combined with azithromycin in the treatment of mesenteric lymphadenitis caused by mycoplasma pneumonia infection.
