Azo dye industrial wastewater photodegraded by natural rutile mineral

Natural rutile photocatalyst was prepared with the method of grinding and sizing.This photocatalyst was used to treat industrial wastewater containing azo dye.It shows that the decoloration rate of the azo dye industrial wastewater can reach 88.37% in the effect of natural rutile photocatalyst after irradiate by the UV radiation for 4 h.Contrast experiment shows that the photocatalyst have not only sorption but also photocatalysis on the azo dye industrial wastewater.
