Progress towards improved measurements of coronary vascular dynamics in clinical practice: A comparative summary of new approaches based on measurements during maximal hyperemia
1994
This chapter compares and contrasts three recently proposed methods for measuring coronary vascular reserve. They are all based on measurements obtained during maximal hyperemia. The three methods are instantaneous hyperemic flow versus pressure slope index (i-HFVP), the parametric imaging of maximal myocardial perfusion (PIMMP) and a new, pressure derived method (PDM). The advantages and limitations are discussed.
