Conhecimento de acadêmicos de odontologia sobre Hepatite B

Introduction: Hepatitis B is a fatal disease and risk for dental professionals. objective: This study aimed to verify if the students had adequate information about the disease. method: A survey was carried out through a questionnaire with a sample of 150 dental students of the Colleges of Northern Nations Mine (FUNORTE) in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais. Results: We found that the majority considers the knowledge imparted at the college during the course of dentistry satisfactory, but few know that the disease is fatal and even the majority of these students vaccinated against the disease, many do not know how to contract it. Conclusion: We conclude that, according to the study, even the academics have reported that the skills are satisfactory, it is still necessary to invest in education and prevention on this subject.
