Characteristics of a Novel Latent Thermal Fluid

2020
Phase Change Material Emulsions (PCMEs) were introduced by the latest researches as novel latent thermal fluids suitable for comfort cooling applications, solar thermal utilization, electronic systems etc. In order to be able to put these fluids into practice, particularly paraffin emulsion, many studies should be carried out as to present the major benefits it can bring in terms of energy efficiency, economy, sustainable development, environmental impact. These are recent proposed solutions, so studies in thermodynamic characteristics, thermal and rheological performance are therefore imperative in order to establish the benefits of their use in practical applications. The scope of this paper is to present experimental results for the thermodynamical properties of different versions of paraffin emulsions in order to be use as latent thermal fluid.
