Arctic Oil Spill Contingency Planning

The industry has a long track record of problem free hydrocarbon exploitation in Alaska. Yet this fact is fundamentally overlooked. Therefore, this paper seeks to explain best practice in oil spill prevention in the Arctic, and suggests that the industry is more proactive in explaining our activities to the public in order to facilitate a more informed debate about the risks and opportunities.
