Aortoiliac Aneurysm Infected with Listeria Monocytogenes: Three Consecutive Cases

1992
Three consecutive patients with aortoiliac aneurysms, operated on for hypovo lemic shock or intensive pain, were infected with Listeria monocytogenes. They were treated by resection and in situ graft replacement with success in 2 cases. High- dose specific antibiotics over a long period were associated with surgery. Preoperative diagnosis was misleading but an immunosuppressive context was present in all cases.
