Idiopathic oligospermia treated with Tamoxifen: report of 70 cases analysis

eventy cases of idiopathic oligospermia were treated with Tamoxifen from 1992.2~1996.10. After three months therapy, the sperm count of 78.6% cases were increased; and 38.2% cases increased to the level above 20×106/ml, but the quality of the sperm including pH, motility and liqu, fication time did not improved. Only 7 patient's wives got pregnant. The reproductive hormone after therapy showed that the level of FSH, LH, T all rose obviously, and PRL, E2 changed little.No side effects were observed during the therapy.
