Energieumsatz bei Übungs- und Trainingstherapie in ambulanten Koronargruppen

1984
Fifteen patients with coronary heart disease took part in a standardized therapeutic training program, during which heart rate and oxygen uptake were measured continously, while systolic blood pressure and lactate level were recorded at regular intervals. During dynamic exercise segments heart rate increased linearly in proportion to aerobic energy expenditure. During calisthenic exercise segments heart rate and blood pressure were disproportionately high in relation to oxygen consumption. Lactate level increased continuously during the entire training unit, but did not exceed 4 mmol/l. Based on subjective and objective criteria for myocardial ischemia, the defined exercise tolerance level was exceeded only briefly during running. The program fulfilled the basic requirements for producing positive training effects, especially in regard to aerobic endurance improvement.
