Polyacrylate Sodium Mediated Synthesis of Nano-hydroxyapatite with Different Morphology by Co-precipitation Method

2015
Nano-hydroxyapatite powders were synthesized by co-precipitation method, using Ca(NO 3 ) 2 ·4H 2 O and (NH 4 ) 2 HPO 4 as reagents and polyacrylate sodium as a template. The phase composition and morphology of the as-prepared powders were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM), respectively. When PH=8.5, flake-like Nano-hydroxyapatite was formed at low content of polyacrylate sodium( 0.25% and beyond) while spherical morphology nano-hydroxyapatite was obtained at higher content of polyacrylate sodium( 0.75% and above). When PH=10.5, the morphology evolved from flake to sphere status and then followed by amorphous agglomeration with increasing the concentration of polyacrylate sodium
