Chinese characteristic religiosity: Comment on Jing (2014).

Summary.—Jing's study (2014) is an excellent beginning to better understand Chinese nonbelievers' attitudes toward religion and might meaningfully predict Chinese believers' attitudes toward nonbelievers. However, to be cautious, more related factors such as political status and ethnicity should be investigated, and more convergent evidence (studies on affective and behavioral elements of Chinese religiosity) should be provided before strong conclusions about Chinese religiosity are drawn.
