Holistic nursing experience on artificial femoral head replacement in elderly patients

Objective To evaluate the effect of holistic nursing on femoral head replacement in elderly patients.Methods From March 2010 to November 2012,100 cases (>70 years) operated by artificial femoral head replacement were treated with holistic nursing such as evaluation before operation,mental and comfortable nursing,prevention of complication,intervention of pain after operation,rehabilitation of limb.Results The satisfactory degree was 95.1%,the average score of Harris on hip was (83 ± 0.12)(P < 0.05),there was no patient dead,no incision infection,no dislocation and no bed sore during the period of the hospital stay,and the nursing effects were good.Conclusion The holistic nursing on femoral replacement in elder patient has good clinical efficacy,and with less complication.
