Structures sur la bordure sud du socle du Gothard : histoire cinématique tertiaire du Val Rondadura (Alpes centrales suisses)

1992
The Rondadura valley is located at the southern border of the Gotthard massif (Swiss Central Alps). The Gotthard massif in this area is composed of an old crystalline basement with para- and ortho-gneisses which are intruded by late Variscan granitoids. This crystalline basement is separated from its Mesozoic para-autochthonous cover by a major Alpine fault. This so-called Retico fault disappears toward the west in the Rondadura valley. The main Alpine deformation is characterized by a penetrative subvertical E-W orientated schistosity associated with a subvertical stretching lineation
