Antigen Society #22 Report (DR2)

At the Ninth International Histocompatibility Workshop, the Nomenclature Committee did not feel that DR2 could be subdivided serologically (1). In this Tenth Workshop, sufficient evidence was presented to justify splitting DR2 into two major subtypes (DRw15 and DRw16), and also indicated the existence of further heterogeneity. The analysis reported here was based on results obtained with the reagents summarized in Table 1.
