Collision Orogenic Process and Magmatic Metallogenic System in Zhongdian Arc

2002
The Zhongdian arc is located at the southern end of Yidun island arc in the Sanjing tectono magmatic zone. Its evolution involved ocean crust subduction orogeny (210~235 Ma), continental block collision (80~88 Ma) and convergence orogenics of continental margins (28 Ma). Supergene porphyrites and porphyries were formed in the process of subduction orogeny. Porphyry type deposits, skarn type deposits and supergene low temperature hydrothermal deposits are closely related to magmatic intrusion of porphyrites and porphyries. I type biotite granites and related Mo W deposits of quartz vein type and altered granite type were formed during continental block collision orogenics. Anatectic syenites and related Au deposits were formed in convergence orogenics of continental margins. Diversities of magma types and mineralzations demonstrate that there exist wide prospects in search for mineral deposits in Zhongdian arc.
