Chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) refers to a pathological blood collection in the subdural space with insidious onset and progression. Surgery is indicated in the majority of cases. Although CSDH is the most common intracranial hematoma encountered in the neurosurgical practice, many shadow areas are still persisting in the management of this pathology.
