Antivenin and fasciotomy/debridement in the treatment of the severe rattlesnake bite
1989
Abstract This experimental study of severe rattlesnake envenomation compares antivenin alone, fasciotomy and debridement alone, and a combination of the two methods as definitive treatment. Superior survival and preservation of muscle function were observed in the animals treated with antivenin alone.
