Oral Medicine Case Book 58 : mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the retromolar area : case book

A 34-year old female patient presented at the Oral Medicine Clinic complaining of a swelling in the right side of her mouth. The mass had been present for approximately four months and was initially asymptomatic but recently she started experiencing a "pins-and-needles" sensation in the area, which had caused her to seek professional help. She also reported an enlarged lymph node in the right submandibular area which, on palpation, was found to be slightly enlarged, tender and mobile.
