Observation on the immune efficacy of anti-idiotypic antibodies against marek's disease virus

2005
The study was conducted on immunity protective efficacy of anti-idiotypic antibodies (Ab2) against chicken marek's disease virus (MDV). The chickens (SPF) were immunized with Ab2 of freund's complete adjuvant or incomplete adjuvant two times at the age of 1 day and 10 days respectively, and then were challenged with virulent MDV at the postinoculation 30 days. Immunity protective efficacy was observed by immunology system state with lymphoid organs weight, lymphocyte on circular blood, lymphoproliferation, hatch rate at the different period and anti-immunosuppressive action agaist E.coliform infection. The results showed that Ab2 did not induce histopathology changes on the lymphoid tissues, hatch had low death rate, liver and spleen had not seen lymphoid cell invade and immune protective rate was 83.45% . Opposition induce histopathology changes of HVT on the lymphoid tissues were more Ab2, hatch had low death rate, liver and spleen had seen lymphoid cell invade and immune protective rate was 73.80%, and induce histopathology and anti-immunosuppressive action with infection E.coliform on MD contrast were more serious than any one on day 120 post-MDV challenge. Vaccination with anti-idiotypic antibodies induce strong protection against marek's disease viruses infection .
