Numerical study on the influence of nozzles' flow characteristics on the cooling effect in spray humidification system of a direct air-cooled unit

In order to research the impact of flow characteristics on the cooling effect of spray humidification system and provide reference for nozzle purchasing,based on the computational fluid dynamics theory,a numerical computational model for a 600MW direct air-cooled unit was established.By means of discrete phase model,the droplet trajectory has been tracked,and the cooling effect of the spray humidification system has been measured with "effective water share",and the method of calculating the turbine pressure has been established.This article take the common industrial nozzles as research object,and combing with nozzle layout in the unit,the impact of spray pressure,spray angle,flow coefficient and nozzle bore diameter on cooling effect has been studied respectively.The result shows that the spray pressure,spray angle and flow coefficient have a great effect on the cooling effect,but the bore diameter exerts a minor influence on the cooling effect.
