Tentative Study about Progresses between Ancient and Modern Clinical Application of Opposing Needling

Opposing needling,a puncturing technique with a long history,has abundant records in both ancient and modern clinical literatures.However,as time goes by,its indications and manipulation have changed a lot.This article attempts to illustrate that opposing needling reflects the theory that channels circulate,cross and converge,as well as they have a whole regulative action on body.And,modern studies about opposing needling embodies a ringlike thinking,that opposing needling can regulate specific pathway in the cerebral cortex helping body condition to overcome diseases and get recovery.
