Fast generation method of 2D code on DTV receivers

This paper describes our study to develop a fast generation method of a 2D code on DTV receivers using data broadcasting. With this method, a broadcasting station transmits a program code to generate 2D codes. We evaluated the experimental program codes on marketed DTV receivers. As a result, the calculation time for the proposed method was 2–12 seconds, which is 1/9–1/4 that for the ordinary method.
