A Study of Multichannel Acoustic Image Positioning Factor Based on Subjective Listening Experiment

Ear acoustic image positioning is a very complicated process.When acoustic source reaches ILD,ITD and phase difference,acoustic image appears.In this context,we designed an experiment based on subjective listening and defined a new evaluation index:multichannel acoustic image error angle factor α,in order to have the quantification of subjective perception and get the curve of the multichannel acoustic image error angle factor.According to the elementary research result,the difference of curves of the multichannel acoustic image error angle factor exists in tester's vocal musice,distance from the central position,numbers of sound tracks/channels and audio frequency.
