Expression of Fascin, SP1 in gastric carcinoma and its clinical value

2016
Objective To study the expression of Fascin and SP1 in gastric carcinoma and their clinical significances. Methods The expression levels of Fascin and SP1 in 63 cases of gastric carcinoma tissues and adjacent gastric tissues were detected by using immunohistochemical method. Results The expression rate of Fascin in gastric carcinoma tissues was higher than that of non-cancerous adjacent gastric tissues (41.27% vs. 9.52%, P<0.01), the expressions of Fascin were related gastric carcinoma to histology grade, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05); the expression rate of SP1 in gastric carcinoma tissues was higher than that of non-cancerous adjacent gastric tissues (57.14% vs. 12.70%, P<0.01), the expressions of SP1 were related gastric carcinoma to TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05). Conclusion The expressions of Fascin and SP1 may be used as biological indicators to evaluate the degree of malignancy of gastric carcinoma. Key words: Fascin; SP1; Immunohistochemical method; Gastric carcinoma
