[A case of primary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma of the bladder regressed after rituximab in combination with CHOP chemotherapy].
2006
: Primary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma of the bladder is a rare disease, and the most effective therapeutic procedure remains unknown. We report a case of primary MALT lymphoma of the bladder regressed after rituximab in combination with CHOP chemotherapy (R-CHOP). The patient, a 84-year-old woman, presented with general fatigue and loss of weight. Computed tomography (CT) showed a solitary mass at the bladder. Histological diagnosis of the tissue obtained by transurethral biopsy was extranodal marginal zone B cell lymphoma of MALT. The patient was in complete remission after only one cycle of R-CHOP. This is the fourteenth case of MALT lymphoma of the bladder in Japan.
