Inlet-outlet tracer techniques are convenient experimental ways of determining internal characteristics of conti nous flow systems. Basicallys a chemical species is injected into the inlet stream and the monitoring of the concentration-time relationships at the outlet is used to provide information about the internal flow characteristics.
