Effects of cluster nursing strategies on liver function and emotional status of patients with liver failure

2020
Objective To explore the effect of cluster nursing strategy on liver function and emotional status of patients with liver failure. Methods A total of 92 patients with liver failure from June 2016 to December 2017 were selected.According to the random number table method divided into study group and control group, 46 cases of each group. The control group received the traditional nursing care model, while the study group carried out the cluster nursing strategy on the basis of the control group.Patients in the two groups were followed up for a period of 4 weeks. The changes of venous blood ammonia, alanine aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and total bilirubin before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. At the end of the fourth week of the intervention, nurses assessed the knowledge of disease in both groups. Results Before intervention, there were no statistically significant differences in the levels of venous ammonia, AST, ALT and total bilirubin between the two groups(P>0.05). After intervention, the total bilirubin level in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). Before intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in disease knowledge and cognition(P>0.05). After the intervention, the cognitive level of disease knowledge was good in 26 cases, average in 17 cases, and poor in 3 cases, with a mastery degree of 93.50%.After intervention, the control group had a good command of knowledge of disease in 15 cases, average 22 cases, and poor 9 cases, with a mastery of 80.40%, and the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05). After the intervention, the scores of anxiety and depression in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions The application of cluster nursing strategy to patients with liver failure can improve their liver function and reduce their anxiety and depression.
