Numerical Analysis of Chaotic Dynamics Produced in a Photonic Crystal Fibers

In this work, we present a numerical study on chaotic dynamics generated by propagating a pulse with hyperbolic secant profile in 1-m-long high nonlinearity photonic crystal fiber (HNL-PCF). The input pulse of 28.4 fs of duration has a peak power $(P_{0})$ range between 10 W and 5 kW. The numerical results show the spectral and temporal evolutions of the supercontinuum (SC) generation and the manifestation of chaotic dynamics through the four-order Runge-Kutta in the interaction picture (RK4IP) method. Finally, it is important to mention the remarkable applications based on the use of SC generation with PCF: optical coherence tomography, sensors and communication systems.
