Titanium (Ti) and its alloys are considered as candidate materials for bone implants . To improve the bioactivity of the implants, surface modifications are ne cessary . This study reports a new method to deposit hydroxyapatite (HA) HA). It us es biomimetic deposition in simulated body fluid (SBF) within the TiO 2 coating created by micro arc oxidation (MAO) treatment of a Ti plate. The morphology, chemical and phase co mposition of the coatings were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and X ray diffraction (XRD).
