NATO Panel VII/SICA International Training Exercise on the Identification of Peptides,

1996
Abstract : The revision of the Terms of Reference for NATO's Sampling and Identification of Chemical/Biological Agents (SICA) subgroup to include the entire CB agent spectrum and the current lack of analytical methods for mid-spectrum agents prompted SICA to hold an international training exercise focussing on the identification of these agents. From the 11 NATO countries represented on the SICA subpanel, laboratories from Canada (host nation), Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom and United States (2 laboratories) agreed to participate in the international training exercise. The objective of the exercise was to evaluate the basic capabilities of the laboratories to determine molecular weights and primary amino acid sequences for five unknown peptides with molecular weights in the same mass range as many mid-spectrum agents.
