2021
This chapter describes in detail the pathological types of pediatric sarcoma that occur in the head and neck region. The epidemiology, anatomical distribution, histological classification and prognostic features are discussed. Analyses of the biopsies of these tumors provide the essential histopathology features, immunohistochemical and molecular pathology results that are crucial to diagnose each of the subtypes of sarcoma. The definition and differential diagnosis of each of the specific types of sarcoma is also discussed.
