Objective: To present the epidemiological and his- tological profile of cancer of ovarian cancer cancers in Douala, Cameroun. Material and methods: It was a descriptive and retrospective study over a period of 10 years (2004-2013), concerning ovarian cancers in Douala. Those cases were brought from the registers of the three pathological anatomy laboratories based in Douala General Hospital, Douala Laquintinie Hos- pital and Anapathos Laboratory. The studied parameters were frequency, age, sex, localization, histological type. Results: A total of 91 cases were observed with an annual frequency of 80,2 cases a year. The average age of the patients was 42,40±13,28 years, moving from 14 to 70 years. Two thirds of the patients were less than 50 years and the nulliparous constituted 9,72% of the population. Histologi- cally, epithelial tumors are the most frequent type (62 cases, 68,13%). Conclusion: Ovarian cancers are Common in the Littoral Region of Cameroon. Epithelial tumors are the most fre- quent type. The protective role of multipartite and the predo- minance of menopausal women are not shown in this study.
