Effects of off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting on operation time and postoperative rehabilitation in elderly patients with coronary heart disease

2017
Objective To investigate explore the effect of off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB) on operation time and postoperative rehabilitation in elderly patients with coronary heart disease. Methods Ninety-four cases of elderly patients with coronary heart disease were divided into observation group and control group according to the different treatment, 47 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventiond coronary artery bypass graft (CCAB), and the observation group was treated with OPCAB. Surgery and postoperative conditions (surgery, postoperative mechanical ventilation, ICU treatment and hospitalization time, the number of transplanted blood vessels) of the two groups were analyzed, the patients were followed up for 3 months, postoperative complications of the two groups were compared, before surgey and at 3 months sfter surgey, cardiac function and quality of life changes of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference between the observation group and the control group in the number of transplanted vessels (P>0.05); compared with the control group, the operation situation, the mechanical ventilation, the ICU treatment and the hospitalization time of the observation group were less, the difference was statistically significant (P 0.05); the incidence of postoperative complications was 19.15% (9/47) in the observation group, which was significantly lower than that in the control group (44.68%, 21/47), the difference was statistically significant (P 0.05); compared with the control group, the quality of life scores of the observation group were higher control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Treatment of elderly patients with coronary heart disease using OPCPA can effectively shorten the operation time, reduce postoperative complications, promote postoperative rehabilitation and improve patients quality of life.
